The Week of the Feast in the Elementary North Loft
The week of the Feast is always one filled with traditions, some old and some new! In addition to feverishly preparing decorations and placemats, the children spent 3 days cooking. As a joint venture, Dayle, Eric, and Joe shared dishes between our classes. In the North Loft, we made pies, cranberry relish, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The food was prepared with love and care.
The morning of the Feast, we took some time to reflect on what we are all thankful for. Then, we made butter (a perennial favorite), worked holiday-themed Mad-Libs, and completed activity packets. In preparation for lunch, we rearranged the classroom to accommodate a family-style meal. We were fortunate to have many friends join us for our meal, including Heather, Saasha, Kelli, Hailey, and Chris W. A good time was had by all.
As we head into our Thanksgiving break, we hope that everyone can enjoy some time with family and friends.
Thank you, Eric Matthews and Regan Broadfoot, Upper Elementary North Loft
